Happy Mother’s Day to all the LRRMC Mothers
As I opened the garage door before my departure, a light drizzle began pouring. On wet the rain gear even before I turned the engine over. Only three riders showed up this morning at the McDonalds (George, Stan and myself). We proceeded down along #10 Hwy and then along river road through Delta when the rain stopped and the sun briefly came out. Over the Arthur Laing bridge and onto Marine Drive through UBC. With a brief stop at Lorcarno Beach we made our way over the Burrard street bridge and made another brief stop at English Bay to take in the beached barge. Then it was on through the Stanley Park Causeway, over the Lions Gate Bridge and then various roads through North Vancouver. We arrived on time for lunch at 5 Guys Burger joint in Coquitlam for some burgers and fries. We all ordered a small portion of fries, but I left 2/3 of them as it was way too much food. They also have complimentary salted peanuts in a shell. Stan decided to head back home after lunch and George and I proceeded to Mission where I left George heading up Clayborn Road.
Overall, the ride was pleasant and the weather held for the remainder of the day. Thanks George for organizing the ride.
