Arriving at Cora’s Restaurant at 07:00, George and myself had an early bird breakfast for a measly $8.50 which includes coffee, 2 pancakes, 2 slices of bacon (George had to add a triple order of bacon on the side), two eggs any style, and toast. With a tip my bill came close to $10.00.
We arrived at McDonalds shortly before 08:00 and five (5) eager members (Brent Rose, Stanley Locke, Dean Lewis, Lester Lightstone and Glen Head) were waiting for us.
The temperature at departure was -2oC before we headed out east and made our way to mission through the many backroads near Fort Langely. We proceeded towards Abbotsford and stopped at Lepps Farmers Market 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Turning north, we crossed the Mission bridge and proceeded west towards Coquitlam. After a brief lunch at Subway, we toured Belcarra, got lost and doubled back a few times before we decided to call it a day. Total travel distance, a little over 200 km. The temperature varied between -2C and + 14C. While it was a chilly morning and those without heated vests suffered more than others, it was a fun ride. Thanks George for leading the ride today.
