22-07-17 Anacortes, Whidbey Island Home on Hwy 9  360km

For some strange reason only two of us (George & Roger) showed at McDonalds for this very nice ride around Whidbey Island. The third person (Ken) joined us as planned at Exit 256 on I-5. As we left McDonalds the skies were lightly covered in clouds, but the weather forecast was for sun and cloud with a slight chance of a light shower. I-5 from Blaine to Chuckanut Drive a made for motorcycle road. We had to make a detour off Farm to Market rd. because of a long term construction of a traffic circle. Once on Hwy 20 we circled Anacortes riding close to the water all the way to Deception Pass. Rode 20 to Fort Casey for a drive through. The thoughts were that we would like to take a tour of the park sometime later, not in the plan for today. We Circled Pen Cove to have lunch at Oak Harbor. After lunch over to 9 via Hwy 20. Hwy 9 to Nooksack and over to Lynden for Ice Cream at Edaleen Dairy, but they are closed on Sundays. Took H Street to Pacific Hwy and Home.  This was a very scenic route with great motorcycle roads on a cloudy with sunny breaks temperatures from 13 to 17 C. May even take another trip to tour Fort Casey soon and explore some more of Whidbey Island.

Nothing like a picture of bikes infront of the Deception Pass washrooms
