Chilliwack Lake Ride, October 10, 2021Heading out promptly at 08:00, four (4) riders including, Stan, Dean, myself and a new member, Tammy Murray, took to Fraser Highway to 248 Ave, east on 8th ave and Vedder Mountain Road for a brief stop in Yarrow. Through the roundabout in Chilliwack we headed east to Chilliwack Lake and stopped for a photo at the water’s edge. The temperature at departure was 10oC but when we arrived at the Lake, it dipped down to 6oC. With a cold breeze coming off the lake, it felt like zero. With photos in hand, we headed back to Chilliwack and stopped for lunch at the Little Beetle Café. The restaurant served excellent food and for about $10.00 you could order most of the sandwiches from the menu. Back on the road, we proceeded north through Abbotsford and then to mission, along Slave Lake Road and finally made our way over the Golden Ears bridge where the group finally split up.Tammy is a conscientious rider and kept up with the group without any difficulty. This is her first year riding and after taking a motorcycle training course for novices, she purchased a 2019 Spyder in early May, 2021. Welcome to the Langley Roadriders Tammy and we look forward to seeing you on future rides and social events.
