Eight bikes with ten people met at McDonald’s in Langley for this long ride today with the sun covered with light clouds. No breakfast stop because of the length, and time this ride will consume. Departed McDonald’s at 8:00 am as always and headed to the Hwy 1 and rode to Chilliwack as planned to meet up with Wayne. We chose to ride on back roads to Hwy 9 and over the Agassiz bridge to get to Hwy 7 to Hope. Fraser Canyon to Cache Creek, Savanna, Logan Lake for a late lunch at Village Cafe. Traffic was light, the roads were good except the road into Tunkwa Lake which had a lot of broken pavement, pot holes and sand on the road. This is a little early in the season to do this ride, I think. Even the Forest service road I tried to ride on was good for a unpaved road, but not good for heavy touring bikes.I made a U-Turn and got back on the right road. Pictures
