19-04-28 Abby-Chilliwack-Maple Ridge 270 km

Even though the temperature was 4 degrees and sunny twelve bikes started from McDonald’s this morning and rode to Ricky’s All Day Grill in Walnut Grove for breakfast. Two more joined us there. Breakfast done we headed east on 88 ave, and rode some of the best roads the Fraser Valley has to offer for motorcycles. The route took us east between Hwy 1 and the Fraser river until we got to past Sumas and to No. 3 road before we crossed the freeway to ride on the south side. We stopped a few times along the way for comfort stops and also photos. One stop was at the Ryder Lake Fire hall where Lester worked his magic getting some very nice shots from his drone. Now back to the north side of the freeway riding on a whole lot more roads then needed to reach the Wildcat Grill in Agassiz. After lunch a couple who had to leave did so and we carried on over to the north side of the river to explore more roads, before heading sort of west in a long way back to the Golden Ears bridge. The group got smaller as we got further west and people departed the group as needed to make it home.
